Delivery of Furniture and Large Items
For our furniture, large lighting fixtures and other items that are larger than a parcel (those items that UPS or US Postal Service can not deliver due to size, weight and/or fragility of the item) or items that require additional care. Whenever possible we provide two delivery service levels; Doorstep Delivery or White Glove Service. Please check individual product pages for service availability.
Levels of Service
Doorstep Delivery - Outside DeliveryDoorstep Delivery, our standard delivery service, offers delivery of your order in its original packaging by one of our third party carriers at your door step. Please keep in mind if you live in an apartment and/or condominium complex this delivery option will only deliver your items as far as the front entrance of your building. Please plan accordingly. This service level does not include delivery inside your home, unpacking and/or assembly. If you require additional service with the delivery of your purchase we suggest choosing our White Glove Delivery Service option.
White Glove Service - Inside DeliveryInside Delivery is our premium delivery option and includes a scheduled appointment from one of our certified, white glove delivery teams. The items from your order will be unpacked and put in place and all packing materials will be removed. Our white glove delivery teams are not bonded or insured for any wall mounting, structural modifications or electrical work.
Measure Before You Purchase
We want to ensure your new furniture is delivered successfully. There is important measurement and obstruction information you should consider before you purchase your furniture and have it delivered. Important questions you should ask are:
- Will a delivery truck fit down your road?
- Are your driveway and sidewalk clear?
- Will your driveway hold a 26-foot truck?
- Will the furniture fit through all doorways?
- Will the furniture fit up your stairway?
- Will the furniture fit through your hallway?
- Is your room ready for the product?
- Will your hallway size allow our delivery team through with product?
Apartment/Condominium DwellersFor apartment buildings, condominiums, or homes with elevators, it is important to measure the elevator interior height, elevator opening and opposite wall distance to ensure furniture will fit. If your building has a freight elevator, please reserve it in advance.
Preparing for deliveryBefore purchasing your new furniture, note all important measurements and obstructions so you can ensure a successful delivery. Before the delivery team arrives, prepare your home by doing the following:
- Secure low-hanging light fixtures
- Remove doors if necessary
- Set rugs in place
- Remove pictures or art
- Move other furniture
- Put pets in another room
IMPORTANT: Lekker Home cannot be responsible for the measurements of our customer's property. Please measure carefully before making your purchase to assure a successful delivery. White Glove Delivery Charges
We not only want to offer our customers very competitive White Glove Delivery charges but make it simple to calculate. White Glove Delivery charges are calculated as follows:
Five percent (5%) of the merchandise total plus a $350.00 White Glove Delivery flat charge.
What to Expect
The delivery timeline of your order is largely dependent on the order’s size as well as the point of origin of the products within it. Although we do stock some of our collection, many of our products come from overseas. These lead times can occasionally be affected by unforeseen circumstances such as weather, customs controls and freight schedules. If there are any immediate changes to the status of your order, delays or otherwise, we will always do our best to reach out to let you know.
We use to different delivery partners for our delivery service depending on your location. Once your order is received at their respective warehouse, they will contact you to make delivery arrangements.
